There are four ways to access the Guide (some agencies use more than one, as indicated). Consult your benefits officer for specifics applicable to your agency:  

1) Many agencies use Employee Express at http://www.employeeexpress.gov/. The link to the Guide is "FEHB Plan Comparison Website-CHECKBOOK." You enter your social security and PIN numbers. PIN numbers are obtained from agency benefits officers. This method allows you to access the guide from home as well as work.  

2) Some agencies use internal agency Intranets. Within the Intranet you locate the Guide (usually under a heading related to health benefits). Once you click on this Intranet link, you will be assigned a personal UserName and Password which will then allow you to access the Guide from home as well as work.  

3) Special web site and/or agency Username and Password. You go to a special Guide web site and there you enter a Username and Password. You obtain UserName, Password, and Web Address from your agency benefits officer. This method allows you to access the guide from home as well as work.  

4) Using agency computers with IP Address verification. With this method, users coming to http://www.guidetohealthplans.org/ from computers that have been identified as being within a subscribing agency's network, are immediately allowed access to the Guide. This method allows you to access the guide Only from an agency computer (usually this means from your workplace only).
