QFC and Safeway dominate the area's supermarket scene. Unfortunately, our recent price shopping reveals both have substantially higher prices than several other area chains, and our customer surveys show neither particularly wows its customers when it comes to quality and service. On the bright side, in most parts of the Puget Sound area, consumers have several low-cost options. Our recent price shopping reveals which area chains have the lowest prices, and our customer surveys reveal which rate highest for quality of meats and produce, variety, speed of checkout, and other service features.
