He also promised to stain my vents. Long story short he recommended a painter for some other work and promised he would do the trim and vents. The other painter was incompetent and I had to insist (by cancelling my check) that gene return to finish the job as promised. In the end he chipped a stair riser but knocked $200 off after an improper fix and another 100 for a baseboard he couldn't/didn't want to finish due to running out of time.
He kept saying he didn't want to argue and it wasn't about the money but in the end he gave me a discount for inferior work that didn't make me happy, I wouldn't use him again.
