I did not get an itemized bill, only a total that included parts and labor. He replaced two flex pipes on my water softener, which took less than an hour. The cost was $625. The company subsequently credited me $200 after I complained that the charge was outrageous.

Thorne's Plumbing last replaced our water heater about 10 years ago. In January (2022), month shy of 10 years, the heating element went out and it was time to replace it again. Tom's son-in law (Scott, I think) is running the business now. He made some changes in his schedule to get to us as soon as possible (he knows what it's like to be without hot H2O), and we had our new water heater the day after we contacted him. He was very responsive to our needs; however he did not wear a mask. Since it was in our garage and the doors were open, I did not ask him to put on a mask, and I kept a bit of difference between us. Fortunately, no virus-caused problems occurred. The price included disposal of the old water heater. We don't know how it compares to others, but it was quite a bit more expensive than 10 years ago! I do recommend him.
