I needed the wicket repaired within a window screen. The hinges broke on the door. So I took it to Bull's Glass. They talked to me promptly, examined the wicket, and said they'd have to rescreen the entire frame in order to replace the wicket. I paid for the job and left the screen with them. The price seemed expensive but 25 years ago they'd given me the original screen and I liked it then. Today, three business days later, I called to see if the screen was ready for me to pick it up. It was. (Why didn't they call ME?) I got there, they got to me promptly, found the screen, but the wicket door didn't latch close. They tried a different door, tht didn't latch close either. Partly because the screen within the wicket door was drawn so tightly that the edge didn't reach the catch. But partly because it LOOKS like their entire supply of wickets doesn't latch in the first place. My main gripe is, I expect someone to look over the repair and be sure it's good, before stating it's ready for the customer to pick it up. I left the screen with them. They aren't sure what they'll do to fix it, but they will give it another attempt. With so much of home repair being limited to buying items off the shelf, I don't know how hard it is to find a company that can make custom-sized screens. I'll give them another rating next survey based on how well the final result turns out.
