After finding an active infestation of termite “swarmers,” we immediately reviewed Checkbook listings and called two high-rated exterminators. We called after business hours on a Friday, so we didn’t expect a call before Monday. Montgomery Pest Control responded first thing Monday morning. Their phone rep Pam and technician/owner Mike both were extremely professional and helpful. There was zero sales pressure, and both invited us to obtain price quotes from other companies before deciding. When Mike came to inspect, we mentioned also having a problem with indoor ants every year. Mike said his termite treatment would also take care of the ants, but he volunteered advice on the most effective store-bought ant traps, should we choose to do our own treatment. My wife and I watched as he performed his inspection and showed us the more-hidden evidence of infestation by both termites and ants in our basement. He checked the entire perimeter outside the house, then quoted a price that seemed very reasonable. We were impressed that he didn’t attempt to sell us a long-term contract or services we didn’t need. We hired him for the project and he returned a few days later and performed what seemed to be a high-quality job. Only time will tell with certainty, but the ants have been gone for three weeks and counting and we presume the termites are gone, too. (Montgomery includes a one-year guarantee, though Mike told us their treatment usually keeps termites away for 5-10 years.) Our entire experience with Montgomery Pest Control was excellent. We’ll certainly use them again if and when needed!
