We are from Texas and purchased a car in MD which I drove back home. My husband had done research already and knew what car he wanted so he basically called the dealership and asked if they could have a particular type of car ready on a certain date. "No problem," they said. However, our salesperson lost interest in us once we were locked into buying the car. We had to keep calling and emailing to keep the ball rolling. I wasn't sure there'd be a car for me when I arrived. I even called the manager on duty at one point and he was basically no help whatsoever.

There (thankfully) was a car there when I arrived to pick it up and the actual sales transaction was the only easy part.

We paid the dealership to get our Texas plates for us but that was a total fiasco. The salesman didn't know much about it, even though he told me they "do this all the time". I finally contacted the accounting dept. where I discovered that we needed an inspection before the plates would be released. The person I talked to told me that she'd send me a FedEx envelope the next day so that I could send her the original inspection receipt back, but after several days passed, I called her again and she'd done nothing. Finally she sent me the envelope. (I could have sent a regular letter faster given all the time she wasted.)

I picked up the car on July 3rd and we still don't have our permanent plates yet (today is Sept. 8th).

I realize that our situation was somewhat unique, but I felt like their attitude the whole time was "out of sight, out of mind." Customer service is non-existent from what I can see and it doesn't seem to be isolated to one individual.

The attitude towards customer service at this dealership is deplorable. Once they sold you a car, they seem to lose interest in you as a customer.

This dealer is such a disappointment because their modern facilities, convenient location, and lengthy hours of operation make it a potentially wonderful business. Unfortunately, the staff's attitude (from the manager on down) make it an awful experience almost every time I go there. Have you ever seen a business where there is no manager on duty? That happened to me at this dealership and I had several insults hurled at me because I was disappointed in the treatment that I was receiving and asked to speak to the manager. Then, when I asked for the number for Hyundai customer care, one staff person told me that she did not have it and I could go look it up online. How can a dealership expect to keep business when treating customers this way? I purchased one car from this dealership, but I will never do so again. Between me and my children, we have purchased 5 Hyundais (including an Equus), but we have only purchased one from this dealership even though it is the closest to us. The people here need to really take a different approach to customer service.
