We started with a smaller local pest control company that was bought by another and then by American Pest. As I have seen through personal experience with an HVAC company where the same process of larger companies buying smaller companies occurred, the service often goes down and the price goes up. While the service seemed okay with American Pest, and the technicians were pleasant, the price kept going up. And the back office seemed to have difficulties posting payments on a timely basis. When this became annoying, we moved on to another pest control company.

I contracted with American Pest several years ago to eliminate a field mice invasion of my home. They quickly eliminated the mice and they have never returned. Their exterior service ensures that rodents and insects stay outside. I am very pleased with the service.

I subscribed to American Pest's quarterly service for several years in an attempt to rid my house of mice. The company came regularly to empty and bait traps set in the crawl space to my house, which is where the mice were coming in. I soon realized that the only cure for my problem would be to locate the precise points of entry and to seal them up. I repeatedly asked the company to do this, either by sealing up the holes themselves or by referring me to another company that would do this for me. They failed to do either and I finally discontinued their service. I found another [less expensive] company, CW Termite & Pest Control, that examined the premises, told me where the entry points were and guided my handyman, who sealed them. The folks at American Pest were continuously friendly and courteous, but I was paying a considerable sum just to have them empty and re-bait my mousetraps. They were not eliminating my problem.
