The tech came yesterday. Said I had a part that was going to fail at some point. Said I could replace it now or wait until it died. I went with replace it now. Also advised that my unit would need to be replaced at some point because it uses a kind of freon that has been banned by EPA (I have heard that from another company before). I'll let you know mid-summer if the AC keeps working. The summer checkup was $59, an excellent price.
