An unexpected water heater breakdown this spring was handled smoothly by the Ben Franklin team. An expensive repair, to be sure, but the rep explained the work, the options, and the pricing and payment plans clearly and kept things as stress-free as possible. We were also impressed by the conscientiousness of the BF team when they realized shortly after the job concluded that a different type of water softener had been installed than the one we ordered (frankly, we probably would not have caught this on our own, at least not for awhile). They were out in short order - for free - to swap out the original softener for the correct version.

Used these guys to take off a toilet and replace the leaking wax ring a couple of years ago. They would not tell me before I hired them how much it would cost. Plumber who came out would not tell me the cost until he was done. He did do a good job. But only then would he tell me that the cost was $500! Way too much in my opinion. Had I known that before, I would have looked to find someone else. I wouldn't hire these guys again on a bet. While the work was done well, it was overpriced and I don't care for their business practice of not even providing a general estimate to complete the job before hiring them.

Pleasant and efficient replacement of our failed water heater...we called Sunday morning, had appt for Monday morning. The new heater was in place by noon!
