The company installed the windows and the doors in my house on November, 2010. The installation was prompt, but sloppy. I expected a warmer winter after the installation, when, in fact, my whole house was even colder after the new windows and doors were installed. My kids and I found that all of the windows and doors installed in my house have cold air leakage problems on the bottom. I have to place a dry towel to block the cold air and to absorb the condensation that comes from the cold air. If the water is not repeatedly wiped up, mold will start to grow and I have to continuously clean the windowsills. This problem is not too bad when the weather is warm but it gets serious when the weather becomes cold. I did not complain to the company until I found one window in my dining room with a serious water leak problem on December, 2013. The water not only dripped onto the floor, but also damaged the drywall. I called Windows Universe for repairs and the company sent a technician to fix my problem two weeks later. The technician said that he could not caulk the window from outside when the temperature was lower than 60 degrees. It’s better to wait till the weather got warmer. Their manager Jason also came to my house a few days later for a follow up checking. Jason also felt the cold air from the windows and doors. He said that he would send an expert to do further checking and it is possible to re-install the windows and doors. He mentioned that the windows and doors have a life time warranty which I can use. If the installation is required, it would be in spring, 2014. I was so happy with their service after I heard this from Jason. I called and emailed the company many times since April, 2014 to remind the promise about the further checking or the re-installation but no one called me back until July 31. An expert came to my house on 8/2 to check my doors and windows for about 10 minutes. He quickly slapped caulk on the windows that were leaking and reported to Jason that the installation was appropriate, no re-installation is necessary since the problem cannot be reproduced. He did not attempt to fix my dry wall that was damaged by the leakage. I was very unhappy about his sloppy work, and it seemed like he wanted to leave my house as soon as possible. I do not want to wait until winter, only to repeat this ordeal for another season. The installation was sloppy, but the way the company handled the problem (which they did not do) was even sloppier. Windows Universe did not back up their “lifetime warranty” and did not ensure that their customers were satisfied. The company has been avoiding my complaints and I would not refer this company to anyone.

The installers are extremely competent and did a wonderful job. I've used them twice for two large jobs.
