Steve bid on a job to refinish our stamped concrete patio. His solution was the cheapest and he repeatedly promised durability and quality. Once the job was completed, we were very disappointed with the work. We heard allot of excuses and promises to make it right (at our expense - at his cost). I decided to give in and have him finish the job, but getting the work on his schedule was painfully slow since he had already been paid. Once it was completed, we were for the most part happy. The total price was good, and Steve seemed genuine. BUT THEN, the finish started to fall within months. We were very upset. After 1 phone call, Steve promptly came out to inspect the job. I was assured that he didn't operate this way, and he would make it right (this time, at no cost). I was happy knowing that I had a contractor that would stand behind his work. Unfortunately, it was all lip service. I would call and call to schedule the work to be re-done, and I would get excuse after excuse all while receiving promises to make it write. I gave up calling after several more months and I never heard from him again. Regardless, I had lost confidence in him anyway. It took me about a year to find another contractor who would clean up the mess Steve left behind. In the meantime our stamped 1200 sq/ft concrete patio turned into an giant eye-sore. Even one of the neighbors complained. We were embarrassed to have visitor in our backyard. In the end, we paid another guy 6 times as much to clean up the patio and do it correctly. Our whole experience with Steve and All-American concrete was empty promises and shabby work wrapped in pretty paper with a shiny bow. I am partially responsible for believing he could do the work so much cheaper than the competition.
