The staff of GRB are very pious and friendly. However, that does not make them a good quality builder. They built my custom home but there are still numerous and significant quality issues. Many details were overlooked in the architectural plans and had to be readdressed, sometimes at additional cost. Examples: incorrect layout of the plumbing rough-in, exterior walls built with both wrong materials and incorrect dimensions (e.g., 2x4 vs 2x6 lumber). I required the insulation contractor to return 4 times to complete the job to code. The windows would not open creating a fire hazard that took over a year to remedy. In many cases, GRB redid the work, but not always willingly and never in a timely manner. Schedule was twice what was promised in contract. Costs were not as firm as implied by the contract. The excavation of the basement took four days instead of the planned three. The charge for one additional day: $9K, or over 100% of the original 3-day cost. Some warranty issues were not addressed for over 2 years. Then they were denied or reluctantly paid off. Caveat emptor!

If they spent more effort getting it right the first time customers might be happier. Too much warranty work required.
