I worked with them on a complex international tax matter. After I signed, I was only interacting with a junior employee who did not ask the necessary questions to perform a complete analysis of my situation; and proposed a solution that would force me into ongoing compliance obligations and generate significant service fees for them over time. When I asked for more details about the IRS support behind their position (e.g., PLRs), I was told this was the way they had always done it. I subsequently reached out to other international tax professionals who have presented less onerous and more relevant alternatives, and were able to explain and present options. The position Wolf was taking, in this case was the most onerous and did not present alternatives with pros and cons, to assist me in making an informed decision. I did not feel they were acting as my advocate. This made the service subpar for me.
