Have had mixed experiences with service advisors. Some are rude, some give bad advice, some are excellent. Often try to sell services not needed, but the completed work is excellent.

I recommend them with a small "r". I used to swear by them, but twice in the last year I found they caused problems rather than fixed them. I had asked them to check my battery as I was going on a long trip. They said it was fine (I even confirmed with the advisor). I got in my car to make the trip and the battery was dead!!!!! (And it wasn't an especially old battery--originally purchased from them) As a result I had to get the dealership to send someone to jump the battery and go to the dealership to get a new one--took about 5 hours to start on my trip. About a month ago, I took another trip and had asked them just prior to check my tires (they had installed 2 yrs ago) and make sure they were ready for winter driving. On the trip, I got a tire pressure message and called the dealership. They said sensors probably needed replaced. However, just before taking the Bay Bridge, I saw a tire place and stopped there. Turned out the dealership had overinflated the tires by 10 psi (40 vs. 30)! The attendant was even shocked! Very disappointing. Other service (that I am aware of) has been fine and I like the service advisor.
