We normally have our direct gas fireplace schedule for service each year before using.

This year we decided to use a company which was listed as a certified Kozy-Heat service provider.

Initially we were hesitant to call them because of their low ratings. The low ratings for this company are warranted. We called on October 1, paid,and scheduled an appointment.

I did a follow-up on the service date. They informed us that we were not in their system.

They offered schedule October 31.

If I did not a follow-up, I would still be waiting to get service. We decided to use another company

So we order a replacement fire place front that will magnetically attach to our existing metal firebox. We order the product and were told it would be approximately 6 weeks for the order to arrive. Which was great as we were having our mantel removed and a stone put in. At their suggestion they said to call in 4 weeks to get an update on the order. I called as told and spoke to Wendell, the store manager, and was informed that my order was on track and should be in 2 weeks and to expect an email or phone call. Two weeks later and nothing. I call back and learn that they NEVER placed my order at the time of purchase, although they went ahead and charged my credit card. They supposedly ordered the product on a rush and paid for it as if I should be happy that they were paying for their own screw up. I asked for a discount for the obvious reasons and was told to basically pound sand. Know what you are getting when you order and buyer beware!
