Lazy locksmith. Back in September 2021, I called to rekey my newly purchased house upon move in. When the locksmith arrived, he recommended and advised that all door locks be made strictly deadbolt and set out to remove all entry door lock set mechanical locking mechanisms. Now, anyone coming into or going out of my home must have a key and use it to enter or leave the home by use of the seperate deadbolt lock on the door. This means that there is no way to leave the home closing the door without having the key to lock/unlock the deadbolt lock. Not well thought out because I don't always have the key with me and many times I don't want to give visitors to my home my house keys for obvious reasons. Now, there are no existing door lock set mechanisms, just the remaining door knobs, as the door lock set mechanisms were removed, thereby leaving just a door knob and the spring actuated convenience bolt to open and close the door in addition to the seperate deadbolt lock which must be used to securely lock the door. Not the correct way to rekey the home. The reality that I must use a key to lock and unlock my front and rear entry doors now requires that I have this job done again to have it done correctly because I listened to the advice of this locksmith who was more interested in doing my home rekey job quickly rather than correctly. Easier for the locksmith at the time.

I was locked out of my house and had to spend the night in my car inside my garage. A police officer heard about this, and he helped me find this company which sent out a master locksmith within an hour. He unlocked my door and apologized for the cost of the service call since he had spent so little time helping me. Of course I understood that the charge was the company’s minimum service charge to come out. He and his assistant were both friendly and professional. I was very happy with them and their work.

Two locks were rebuilt, preventing need to re-key which would have been a hassle. Very satisfied.
