The prime contractor for a home addition chose this firm. The work was poorly performed. The supposed job foreman spent almost the entire day sitting on his seat in his truck. The crew knocked a newly installed downspout drain out of alignment and locked that into place in the asphalt. The crewman operating the machine to remove the old driveway broke the end of the sidewalk leading to the house's front door. No mention was made at the time. No follow-up ever occurred when I mentioned the damage. After conscientiously waiting to use the driveway during more than the required cure time--waited more than 1 week--we then began using the driveway. Soon, wheel-track depressions began to occur. These are so deep they form puddles that take days to drive after rain storms. No vehicle was EVER left on the pavement overnight, which answers the accusation from the company rep that somehow I was to blame for soft asphalt. Obviously, the asphalt mix was inferior and not spread and/or compacted properly. That is hard to say since the job foreman never paid attention to the work since he was pre-occupied with an electronic device's display and chit-chatting on the phone in the comfort of his truck's cab facing away from the job site and parked down the street. After months following discussion with a rep, a crew was dispatched to redo the driveway. The different job foreman that day explained what he was instructed to do. It was not at all what I requested or expected. I immediately called the rep, who was argumentive, irrational and personally disrespectful in his attempts to cajole me into accepting his irresponsible plan, claiming "it's what I want". No, such a clugey fix was not at all what I wanted--I had said so during previous discussion weeks earlier. My "brand-new" driveway looks worn and the shoddy workmanship will not be corrected.
