We have an 18 year old Yorkie, very healthy, but takes several pills morning and night. It's very hard to find a kennel that will take "elder dogs." Old Dominion specializes in them. They took a lot of time telling us what they did and listening to what our dog needed. The care is excellent.

This veterinary has excellent boarding facilities for cats, which are not easy to find. The staff are all very kind and friendly. Our experience being able to communication with someone, when needed, has been excellent. James and Brenda are long-term staff members and Mario, who has also been there for many years, is on duty during the night. This is really a plus because we explored some other excellent veterinaries that had boarding facilities but none of them had someone on duty during the night and/or on weekends. Another important aspect for us, at Old Dominion, is that the cat boarding area is very separate from the dog boarding area. In general, it would be very difficult for us to find another veterinary/boarding facility that, overall, provided the level of care and services that this one does. As always, it is not inexpensive, but the peace of mind, for us, is worth it.

ODAHC is expensive but they do a great job with my dog during my frequent travels. They charge separately for just about everything imaginable, but I am confident that my dog is well taken care of during my absence.
