Ginger Starling tuned my 93-yr old family baby grand piano several years ago. I found her to be an excellent technician but also conservative in her approach to recommending a lot of extra work. The sound of the piano was wonderful. Recently, Having had to store the piano in a facility where it had been greatly damaged, I asked Ms. Starling to accompany me to assess and evaluate the damage. She was so responsive to my request and offered a thorough and reasoned evaluation of the damage. She also offered a fully descriptive explanation of the work that needed to be done, what to expect after the work was completed and what the estimated costs would be. I appreciated her honesty, her clear explanation(s) and forthrightness. I highly recommend North Star Piano.
