This was a very disappointing experience. Fine Line Painting and Restoration painted our neighbor's house the prior year and did a great job. Sadly, we did not have the same level of quality and professionalism with our crew. The problem started with communication about the timing of the job. We were scheduled for August, but at the last minute were moved to early July. That caused problems with other projects we were planning. Then, we had a very inadequate pressure wash. There were multiple missed areas where the house and trim were left dirty, the front door was covered with debris, and two shingles were damaged and left popping out. When I gave this feedback to the owner, Dean, he was not very receptive. The poor service continued when the painting crew arrived. They tried to start painting without doing any of the caulking work that Dean and I discussed (and included in the bid). When I tried to stop them to ask that they complete the prep work and caulking, the crew lead seemed irritated, as they had a 5-6 painters that were ready to start spraying the paint. They did some of the caulking and then proceeded to paint. The paint job was really sloppy with blurred lines where the trim and body color met, some areas where there was not paint coverage, and some paint blistering. We also noticed that they had caulked and/or painted over the weep holes on our windows. I had to call them back to correct these issues. They allowed three hours for the list of corrections and by the end of that time, the person was working so fast he was painting over wet caulk. Now, about seven months later, we have some paint that is cracking, some more blistering, and some paint that appears to be "sagging." The other thing is that they left our yard a mess; I am still finding balls of painter's tape and cigarette butts in our landscaping.
