Our landscaping had severely deteriorated over the past 20 years and was clearly in need of a refresh. Platt Hill designer Allie Lackey came out, inspected the area, and listened to my general expectations. In a half-hour dialogue with me she then developed her ideas, intelligently probing for my preferences and dislikes. Over the next three weeks, she drew up a design and list of materials, and I decided to go ahead with Platt Hill. Their crew of three came on the agreed day, received instructions from Allie and got to work. Luis, their foreman, was very competent and pleasant to deal with. And he is fully bilingual (which you don't find so often these days). They pretty much got the job done in one day, just returned for one hour the next morning to mulch all the plant beds and water the new plants. Compared to the dozens of one-man-and-a-dog landscaping outfits in the Chicago area, Platt Hill is not cheap. But if you want professional work from design to execution, they are the company to call. I am very happy with the looks of our new landscaping.
