Not Recommended
I saw Paige for one year. She was not particularly insightful or attuned, but better than no therapist. That is, until one day recently, towards the end of a session, she looked like she was about to fall asleep. I pointed out how exhausted she looked (it was about 6:00 p.m., and I'd noticed that she doesn't allow herself any time at all to recover between patients,) and mentioned how this was understandable. In an odd and disturbing turn of events, she turned it around on me, told me that she had become dysregulated because of the intensity of my venting. The next session, we discussed it further. At one point she literally told me that if I don't like her therapy, "there's the door." I was shocked at how unsafe and by surprise a professional could conduct herself. Besides this story, consider it a big red flag in this day and age that you'd find a "unicorn:" an experienced therapist like Paige who has openings and accepts insurance. If you choose to give Paige a try, as I did, tread very carefully.
