If you have a cat, take him/her here. You won't be disappointed--and your cat will be grateful!

I went to this clinic because I had lost a cat due to negligence from another non-cat clinic. I'd been with them 2 years until I got a shelter kitten that had some problems with food and pulling its hair out of its tail. Besides doing some expensive testing that didn't reveal any problems, Dr. Watson said the cat had stud tail and to wash it with benzoyl peroxide shampoo, which he didn't have on hand and I would have to order. After a few shampoos, the problem got worse. I called them and told them that, and he dismissed me saying "you have an unhealthy cat." I went to two other non-cat-only clinics who helped me. It turns out the cat did in fact have ringworm, which the cat clinic didn't catch. Now I have to treat both the kitten and my older resident cat with oral medications and multiple shampoos and have them both tested multiple times to be sure the ringworm doesn't come back. This was the same problem I had with the other clinic. They made the wrong diagnosis and missed the problem. I expected much better care and attitude from this place. I can't recommend them.

The staff at College Station Cat Clinic are very good at caring for our cat and we trust them. And, they will discuss things over the phone--you don't have to make an appointment to discuss treatment options. Our only criticism would be that they are quick to do costly tests. If money is not an issue for you and the care of your cat that's great but if you adopted your cat from the pound and don't have a lot of money to spend ask them how much a test costs before they do it.
