The previous furnace company that serviced my home went out of business. I researched Consumers' Checkbook for a replacement, selected A-Plus Service Experts, and called for an annual furnace checkup. The receptionists (I spoke with two) were courteous and very helpful. The company has an excellent, comprehensive Premium checklist on the website for what they do during a tune-up, so I downloaded it in preparation for the tune-up. Mario was due to arrive between 8:00 and 10:00 AM today. A few minutes before 8:00 I received a call from the office to tell me that Mario would arrive in a few minutes. While I was on the phone I looked out the window and saw Mario drive up. A-Plus could work at NASA Mission Control! Mario was courteous, meticulously thorough, and extremely competent. He did an outstanding tune-up, including doing things no one had ever checked before. I take good care of the 22-year-old Carrier 9200 Weathermaker gas furnace, and Mario confirmed it remains in very good condition. Among other things he did a thorough CO (carbon monoxide) meter check of the furnace and its exhaust, and found no carbon monoxide leakage. It is worth the cost of a checkup to know that one's furnace is safe. I was so impressed with the quality of A-Plus's service and Mario's thorough tune-up that I signed up for the twice-a-year maintenance plan, and will see A-Plus in the spring to check the A/C. If you haven't had your furnace checked for a while, I recommend that you call A-Plus. The scheduling service is courteous and excellent, the price is user-friendly, the working checklist is detailed and comprehensive, and Mario is an extremely conscientious and competent service technician.
