The fence looks great. I rated only "adequate" for "doing service adequately on first try" because after I looked over the work, they screwed on a sign with their name on it. That's work for me to do if I don't want to be an advertisement for them -- and even if I do, since I'll have to take the sign down to to paint the fence. They came on time, worked efficiently, and left a great-looking fence. After I signed the contract, I agreed to a change that they had suggested that would save them a lot of money. They were right to suggest it; it was an improvement. But they would not give me a break on the price. When the builders came, after I had gone through a long process of getting the neighborhood association to approve the design, they wanted to change the plan -- only slightly, and for the better -- but I'm still kind of worried if it will pass. Their rep rarely answered my emailed questions, and when he did it was after several days. I would have rated the staff's pleasantness "superior" -- but then I figured probably "staff" includes the rep. Bottom line: probably a good company to build your fence, since they employ good builders, but expect poor communication and before you sign keep asking questions until you get answers.

I needed 2 gates replaced and MC Fence did a great job. I really appreciated that they created gates using a board on board technique that couldn't be looked through when the wood planks dried, as is typical with a plant fence. Happy with the work. (I didn't compare prices so can't rate the price.)
