Our air conditioner quit cooling just as the recent heat wave started, despite receiving regular maintenance. AWE got a technician out the same day we called.The diagnosis was was that all the refrigerant had leaked out. A system engineer called us that night, and got out here the next day. He spent two hours exploring several options, and very patiently walked us through the pros and cons of each. For a bunch of complicated reasons, the best approach was to replace both our old furnace and our old AC system with high-tech, efficient new ones. Although due to the heat wave, they couldn't get the installation scheduled for over a week, they took care of getting the necessary permit, showed up on the promised day, and worked 'til 8:00 PM so we'd have AC that day. Although AWE may be on the higher end in price, we feel that we get value for the money in terms of reliability, quality and general service. Sometimes, cheap is too expensive!
