Many garage door repair shops offer a free estimate. Precision charges $50 for an estimate, which can be applied to the job if you accept their estimate. The estimate was $300 more than the other two estimates, plus they claimed that all the hardware needs replacing (it was replaced three years ago), for an additional hefty charge. Garage door repair estimates vary wildly, so obtain a number of free esimates.

Precision Door was very responsive, with the technician arriving at the scheduled time. Ron, the technician, was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient in replacing our 30 year old garage door opener. Highly recommend this company.
