Dwayne Knapp performed a well and pump inspection for a client of mine who was a prospective buyer of the home served by the well. He seemed to do an okay job of inspecting the well and pump and seemed knowledgeable. He was hard to reach and did not respond promptly to phone calls and questions, although he did show up on time for the inspection. He was also ignorant about water quality issues and clearly unqualified to advise on water quality. The company he recommended for water quality testing and analysis turned out to be merely a vendor of water treatment equipment, not a bona fide state-licensed water quality testing lab. The vendor failed to perform appropriate tests of the quality of the well water. Water quality testing was delayed while we found a state-licensed lab, collected fresh samples, and waited for new test results of the proper water quality parameters. So I would say "recommended with reservations" for the physical and mechanical aspects of well and pump system inspection and not recommended for advice on water quality.
