For years, I had considered, but always avoided, the disruption and expense of replacing my knob and tube wiring. Finally, with some insurance companies not renewing coverage for homes with the old wiring, I decided to bite the bullet. I chose Berkeley Electric, and the project went much better than I feared, thanks to the responsiveness and hard work of Larry and Ben, and the whole crew. Yes, there was inevitable disruption over the three days they worked. Yes, walls had to be opened, but the holes were much smaller than I anticipated; and the team included a skilled plasterer. And, yes, there was dust, but the crew was very thorough in covering everything. So I now have a safer electrical system, and a few extras, including a fan in the bathroom. I have recommended Berkeley Electric to a neighbor, and would certainly do the same for anyone looking to update their home. And, they are a local firm. I try to do business locally when I can.
