I had three 240-volt circuits added to prepare for future changes away from gas appliances. Since I was a previous customer, they fit this job in between the larger jobs that they do almost exclusively now. To arrive at the estimate, Zalman Sher went through the options carefully. When it was possible for them to schedule the work, it was performed quickly and neatly.

Team was efficient, clean and professional on our whole-house rewiring. Zalman offered good advice on the various choices we needed to make. The crew even pitched in to troubleshoot a roof leak that occurred inn the midst of the project. (Turned out the cause was wild weather, unrelated to electrical work.)

For years, I had considered, but always avoided, the disruption and expense of replacing my knob and tube wiring. Finally, with some insurance companies not renewing coverage for homes with the old wiring, I decided to bite the bullet. I chose Berkeley Electric, and the project went much better than I feared, thanks to the responsiveness and hard work of Larry and Ben, and the whole crew. Yes, there was inevitable disruption over the three days they worked. Yes, walls had to be opened, but the holes were much smaller than I anticipated; and the team included a skilled plasterer. And, yes, there was dust, but the crew was very thorough in covering everything. So I now have a safer electrical system, and a few extras, including a fan in the bathroom. I have recommended Berkeley Electric to a neighbor, and would certainly do the same for anyone looking to update their home. And, they are a local firm. I try to do business locally when I can.
