I switched to Ackerman from another provider that kept raising rates. I've been pleased with Ackerman's service.

The monthly monitoring fees are very competitive and not an issue for me. Their quality of service, when necessary, not so much. My CO2 monitors started malfunctioning recently. After changing the batteries to no avail, I discovered they were more than 10 years old and planned obsolescence rendered them junk. Because they are integrated into my monitoring system and the work to tie them in was beyond my limited technical abilities, I called Ackerman and they sent a service tech out to replace them and tie them into my system. They billed me nearly $500 for the work, including $125 each for three new CO2 detectors. I checked and these exact same Honeywell monitors can be purchased online for less than half of that with free shipping. I expressed my displeasure with Ackerman and they could care less. They said the cost is the cost but they would send the tech back out to remove the units and replace them with the online units if I bought them, but the service call would be an additional $90 and I would have to take another day off of work. I am thoroughly disgusted with them, but ADT (who I used previously) is worse. Still looking for a quality LOCAL security professional to work with. Unfortunately, the only quality local firm I have been able to identify from your previous ratings was very responsive, but only to a point. I've had absolutely no luck in getting them to return numerous phone calls and emails after our initial contact. Looking forward to the day I can dump Ackerman.

First installer was an Ackerman contractor who didn’t have parts he needed. Second installer brought the needed larts but then into a problem getting the cell radio to properly send alerts to Ackerman dispatch. Three is a charm?
