changeover from sport club la to equinox is a mixed blessing. upgrades made to equipment, but considerably more crowded

Equinox has run this club into the ground since taking it over. They cut staff so the locker rooms, showers and bathrooms are filthy. The classes are geared to twenty somethings so those of us over 50 feel unwelcome though it is surprising that the younger crowd can afford it. It is VERY expensive and not worth it, but is one of the few full service gyms in downtown DC so I feel captive. The places where I take other classes don't have shower facilities to use before work

This is now an Equinox Club. They do not want older customers so play loud music and set schedule so activities during day are an inconvenient times or not scheduled.
