Do not use Wynscape for Rehab/Skilled Nursing. There CNA and Assistants are understaffed. They also use agencies for their help. One of my lived ones was there for rehab. The ratings provided are old and had high rating. This is no longer the case. Last year this facility was bought out by a private equity group. The current ratings should be below average. My lived one was neglected and eventually ended up with pneumonia, another UTI, and huge bed sore. My loved one was left alone for hrs. Many times they were sitting in soiled diapers for long periods of times. When I was there we press the bottom for assistance. No one was responding 20 min later, I would look for someone and there is no one around. Eventually someone came 30-35 min later. She mentioned they are short staffed and does not have time to assist. The first week, they neglected to schedule her for a shower. We had to complain multiple times before they added my loved one to the shower schedule. The first shower was 10 days later. They neglect to check her blood sugars and give her insulin as needed. They neglected to give her an X-ray of her lungs for 2 days when she contracted pneumonia. The Dr put the order in for the X-Ray but no one scheduled it. Eventually my loved one was taken to the ER. An X-Ray and a bunch of tests were done. The diagnoses was ammonia in a UTI. My family put in a formal complaint to IDPH. The Dept head if Nursing was communicated to many of times. This did help a little. There is a lot of turnovers of CNA’s and other staff. Some of the CNA’s are rude and don’t care. They told us that the hallway where my sister was located does not have anyone assigned to take care of her. Then suggested to us to take care of her.y lived one is nit able to walk and needs assistance. He/she is dependent on the CNA’s to help. One of the CNA’s told my sibling who was visiting that she does not care. She was also mean to my sibling. They have good PT Staff and wound care staff. Sadly the CNA’s and assistance are the ones who does the day to day care. And that’s where the negligence is.
