My 80 year old husband walked in with positive covid test. They gave him a covid test, and it too was positive. But they would not prescribe paxlovid or anything else because they were not his primary care physician. We were new to this area and did not yet have a doctor. (Trying to find and have a primary care physician is a year long project, another story.) Crazy. Terrible experience.
