You can't beat fiberglass gutters for not having to paint them or oil them and for not having to deal with rot. Years ago we had the original owner (and maybe inventor?) of the company install fiberglass gutters in the back of the house and just this year, faced with a piece of rotted gutter and accumulated tremendously dirty and water-logged gutters, we had the same company come and replace the gutters in the front. They came weeks after promised, due to the rain and illness, but the owner did occasionally update us and it made no difference to us when they came. We would recommend if you use them that you clarify about the work that might need to be done with the rakeboards and, perhaps, the downspouts.

As expensive as it is wonderful. After years of dealing with rotting gutters needing repair and painting, we are (at least on the back of our house) leaving all that behind. The company has, I believe, significantly lowered its price.
