I want to thank you as well as Kevin and Nick for working through some complicated challenges at Burdette. We had some serious bad ground issues and everyone at Bartley responded professionally to keep the costs down and stay on schedule. Nick did a good job at proposing alternative foundation designs to minimize concrete and stone costs. Kevin managed the equipment and manpower to find the most economical way to haul off the seemingly endless bad dirt and bring in several tons of stone. And I especially appreciate that you were willing to reduce some of the unit prices because of the volume of work. What started as a $20,000 concern turned into a $70,000 nightmare but it could have been much worse. The bad ground, debris and old septic tanks were much more than anticipated. The true test of any subcontractor relationship is how they respond when you come across something unexpected and expensive. It’s reassuring that when I encounter a difficult issue that Bartley is ready to take on the task and be reasonable with the costs. This foundation was truly a challenge and everyone at Bartley did a fine job and I really appreciate the extra effort everyone put in. Thanks again for being responsible professionals.
