Dave Goldberg is rude and dismissive, using endless excuses to justify doing a poor job. His solution to causing damage or inconvenience to the neighbors of his clients is, basically, "deal with it, I'm doing everyone a favor by existing." Oh, and if you manage to get him on the phone (assume his voice mailbox is full), he will relish the chance to hang up on you.

What he won't do: actually listen, sincerely apologize, make a firm commitment to do the right thing.

What he will do: Throw everyone else under the bus, vaguely imply he will fix mistakes without committing to anything, argue endlessly using faulty logic, and hang up the phone mid-call.

Look, Dave, when someone calls you with a perfectly reasonable complaint, someone who has not previously spoken to you and had no indication that you are even aware there is a problem, someone who has been fruitlessly unable to reach you, only to hear you IMMEDIATELY imply that their concerns are frivolous while launching into a laundry list of reasons the issue is not your fault (even though you are the person with the authority to fix it), followed by a vague statement that the problem "should be" fixed within 24 hours, only to change the subject when asked to firmly commit to that timeline, all while first implying that you were onsite when the mistake was made, only to backtrack later, the person you are speaking with has every right to be upset. Because when you respond the way you responded to me today the only conclusion I can come to is that you either don't care about causing harm to others or have no ability to put yourself in someone else's shoes. In trying so hard to shift blame all you did was convince me you have no interest in "doing the right thing."

Next time, if you are actually sincere about being a decent human being, try something like this: "I'm sorry, we tried our best but inadvertently caused a problem for you. It's our fault and we promise to fix it within 24 hours. We understand that the issue is inconvenient, and we know the situation was made worse by the fact that you couldn't reach anyone about fixing it. I will personally make sure this problem is addressed as promised and please feel free to get in touch again if you need to."

I don't know if homeowners are happy with Mr. Goldberg's management, but I can tell you their neighbors aren't.
