I rarely post a recommendation, but the stone work just done to repair my retaining wall was exceptional. After extensive damage from a car crashing into the wall, it was reconstructed by Randy Austin of Triple A Renovations. If you came by to see his repair work, you would probably have difficulty finding it. The wall looks just as it did before the crash. Randy and his assistant, Leo, started with pressure washing the whole wall. I mention this because I don’t think that all masons would have taken this important step. Besides showing up all the cracks in the old joints, it was critical for determining the best color mortar to use for the repair work. Prior to the power washing, we all picked a different sample than after the wall was washed. Randy is easy to work with, extremely detail-oriented, and licensed in DC as a general contractor. I note that the site was left clean every day.
