The key would not turn to lock our deadbolt. At the suggestion of our condo manager we called H and H, who came out and said the lock could not be fixed and suggested a replacement for $1000 - $1200. They also said the door needed a new strike but did not work on it. They charged $220 for this non-service. For all that money you'd think they at least would have replaced the strike. Then I logged into Checkbook (lesson learned) and called a highly rated locksmith, and they fixed the lock for $300. When my wife called H and H to complain and request a rebate, they were not helpful.

In October 2018, I had H&H install a $800+ door knob lock-set and deadbolt on an exterior door. I had used H&H about years earlier for similar hardware (along with mail slot and knocker) for another door and was quite pleased. Not this time. Within three months the deadbolt was loose and the door knob lock/latch was no longer closing securely. I called H&H expecting them to be somewhat apologetic and quick to come back to fix things, but instead they were quick to point out that they would charge $100-$200 to come take a look and then let me know what it would cost to do the repairs. They also said the warranty had expired and whatever happened was probably due to the weather (all of the rain we have had). I called another locksmith who made the repairs in about 14 minutes.

The H & H store claimed that our broken front door lock was out of production, then sold us a much more expensive lock that could not be installed. It was difficult to get a full refund. Another lock store had the original lock in stock (it was not out of production).
