Two companies to avoid are Thomas E Clark and Spacepak. System installed cost over $10,000 and came with 1 year warranty. Any Co. that gives you a one year warranty on a new AC system has a low opinion of the equipment they are selling you or a low opinion of their ability to install it, or both. System installed in mid July, 2017, most all of your warranty is expiring during the winter months. Early on the AC would be fading and they came out and added refrigerant worked ok for a while then same problem, add refrigerant just letting the system limp along until well out of warranty. Then they came out and cut the refrigerant lines and declared the condenser needed replacing and would cost over $3000 to install new unit and they wanted an additional $499.00 for their service of cutting refrigerant lines. New condenser will take 2 weeks to get if available and they will not order the unit until paid for. This is middle of summer. My parents are in their late 90,s and don't want to cause a fuss so they asked me to see what was going on. If they had followed TE Clark's advice they would now have $14000 into a non working AC system. I found nothing wrong with the condenser unit nor the line set. But it was the evaporator that was leaking. TE Clark was not interested. I contacted Spacepak the manufacturer of the evaporative coil and offered to send it to them for inspection and to send a replacement since it is still under their 5 year warranty and they say they don't deal with homeowners you have to go back to the installer. I explained the situation but they were not interested. They cut the refrigerant lines so it will be too costly to get a second opinion from another co and it's midsummer so they have you at a disadvantage. The professional thing to do was to track down the leak early on and repair it rather than limp it along until they could justify doing nothing to repair it at a later date. Also you do not cut the refrigerant lines, per EPA regs, but advise the customer of your findings and let them decide if maybe they want to get another Company to take a look and recommend a solution. You will be better off buying window units for your AC needs than using these co's.

The owner died and this company has deteriorated greatly since. Apparently he was the only person with access to the maintenance schedule and email addresses so the company appears to be "running blind" now. They don't return calls or request for service and their prices are quite high. We started a service contract with another company so we don't have to keep calling and begging them to show up. Also, their prices are high and they demand payment before the technician will leave as if they don't trust the customer to pay an invoice.

Installed Ductless HVAC and Air Filter for Furnace. They took out old ductwork and were neat and prompt. We used them back when we lived in the city and now using them again. Very happy with their work.
