There are two Professional Stonework, stone masonry, businesses in MD, and this is the great one. Over several years I obtained 7 estimates to determine what was needed with my eroding front flagstone stoop and winding stairs down to the street. By the time I found Eduardo Pereira and his team through Checkbook, I knew what I was looking for. The estimate was a bit less than other firms -- which wanted to take 3 weeks, remove my wrought iron railing, and deconstruct and entirely rebuild my large front stoop. Mr. Pereira & his hard-working team needed just 8 days to remove all decayed flagstone (several layers) & all crumbled old concrete and sand beneath, leaving in its place a secure concrete foundation, on which they secured an artful puzzle of hefty flagstones and strong mortar joints -- without removing the railing! They were punctual, neat, good humored and professional. I live in SE Washington, and this firm had no hesitation about serving this community, which required a commute for the workers each day. Bravo!
