Bloomington Heating and Air replaced our complete HVAC system (furnace, air conditioner, air cleaner). We found their customer service (sales, job coordination, installation, and follow-up) to be great. We have used them for installations and annual inspections for more than 15 years, so clearly we would use them repeatedly. Our furnace failed and was red-tagged in early October. The replacement estimate was accurate and was the final cost of the project. The company worked to move our replacement date forward because the furnace could not be fired and they delivered some space heaters to help us get through the chill. The installers were friendly and took care to treat the work area carefully; the area was cleaned up upon finish. We are unable to comment on the BH&A price of the project. Because our furnace was red-tagged and we needed replacement ASAP, we did not have the opportunity to seek competing bids. However, in our prior projects with the company, we found their prices to be fair and judged the cost of this replacement project to be fair. As noted, we continue to use Bloomington Heating and Air.

Our furnace was only 11.5 years old. In early 2021, the furnace developed a problem that ended up necessitating the replacement of a motor at the cost of )1,000. On December 8th our furnace suddenly stopped working. We called Bloomington Heating & Air we’re put on their list and the next day Scott Newgard the owner came over and indicated we needed a new furnace. Furnaces are supposed to last 20 years. I asked Scott what assurances Carrier/Bryant gives, given that our furnace that was supposed to last 20 years died after 11.5 years. Scott agreed that products are made to worse standards and tolerances. He then went through the costs of the new furnace, the rebates, installation, maintenance and inspections. My cost $6,750.00 Capitalism manufactures junk.
