Total Comfort sold us a top-of-the-line Carrier heat pump/furnace system a few years back, and it's taken until this last winter that it's actually made it through a winter. The first summer, the AC broke and they had to wait until a software update (in the fall) until they could service it. That winter the heat pump compressor started making odd noises and broke. They eventually replaced it. This fall it started making the same odd noises so we called them and the technician insisted those are normal sounds—and went on to claim we don't change our filter often enough, which was provably wrong. Two days later it broke. They eventually replaced the compressor AND the mainboard that was frying the compressors. It made it through the winter. Today we had Air Quality Services do a tune-up, and they discovered that Total Comfort had installed the fan on the heat pump upside down, causing water to drip on the circuitry.

Installed a new furnace, AC , and heat pump- the whole process went very smoothly from the salesman to the installation, and I felt I got the best option for my situation.

Purchased my HVAC units 13 yjr ago thru Home Depot; Total Comfort salesman was standing by their display. They do the annual maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner. Prices are reasonable. Techs are friendly and knowledgeable. Parts are expensive.
