Bob discussed options with me and gave me a fair price. Dustin was the Installer and he did an excellent job. Would recommend.

The “bottom line” for the Topline Garage Door Company is pretty simple. It’s the “bottom line”!

We recently replaced the torsion springs on our garage door, not because one of them was broken, but because they had greatly exceeded their life expectancy. If I had replaced them myself, I would have bought them from Menards. Menards, like every garage door repair service company I contacted (except Topline”), installs standard 10,000 cycle springs. As a matter of standard practice, Topline installs 25,000 cycle springs, for virtually the same price that other companies would have charged us to install 10,000 cycle springs. That’s the “bottom line”!

If you cycle your garage door four times a day,10,000 cycle springs have a life expectancy of about seven years. So, in about seven years you would likely need another service call. But if you use 25,000 cycle springs, you wouldn’t likely need a service call for seventeen years. Hmm! Which to choose? Which to choose?

I had originally specified new end bearing plates (an additional $40). The installer unbolted them, brought them down the ladder, and showed them to me. They were in perfect condition. So that saved us an additional $40.

As it turned out, the person who previously replaced the springs installed the wrong springs. So, at best, if I had replaced the springs myself, I would have replaced the wrong springs with the wrong springs. The technical process of figuring out which springs were the right springs for the door was something best left to an experienced professional.

By the numbers, the right springs for the door fell right between two sets of springs. He installed one set of springs, and the door worked just fine. But it wasn’t perfect. So, he took everything apart again and installed the other set of springs, at no extra charge! It just doesn’t get any better than this!

Given all of this, there isn’t a single good reason that I should have installed those springs on my own. Given all of this, there isn’t a single good reason that I should have chosen any other company than Topline.
