TLDR: Truly first-rate service from beginning to end. Don’t risk your trust with inferior alternatives, and don’t wait until your old unit dies like we did; Stafford will do the job competently and correctly. Detail: We had an old furnace (around 29 years old) that finally bit the dust on, of all days, Black Friday of 2022. We previously had Stafford install a new electrical panel for us, so we were sure they were a company we could trust with such a major project. We also had a few furnace & a/c estimates from a couple of years prior, Stafford included, so we knew their pricing was fair and we decided they would be our first choice regarding a new unit. Dan (the owner) came out first thing on the following Monday and listened carefully to my plans and concerns; in order to accommodate a future planned expansion of a partially finished basement, we needed to have the furnace location moved a few feet, but that involved some tight spacing and required a bit of custom ductwork. Dan made sure to carefully measure, take my concerns into consideration and fully explain what could and could not be done in relation to what we wanted to do. His solution was perfect for our needs so we decided to go with their service after he promptly provided a very reasonable estimate. Given that we were requesting custom ductwork it did take a few days to get that manufactured, which was completely reasonable, and the crew was at our house as promised within a couple of days. The team lead that we had was Gabriel, and regarding both him and the crew, we were extremely happy with the entire process. Team members arrived on time or earlier, were well-presented and polite, took care to be mindful of property (rugs, floors, walls, etc.), and finished the job neatly, to spec and earlier than expected. Importantly, I saw no signs of any time-wasting; they were clearly working from arrival to departures each day. Also, a shout-out to Jason and TruKenna in the office for making sure all the scheduling, paperwork, etc. were handled in a timely and clear manner. I’m really not sure we could have had a better experience with such a large and important project; we just wish we had replaced the unit proactively, rather than waiting until it died. We did simultaneously purchase an air conditioning unit which they will hook up in spring, but we’ve no doubt that service will be as excellent as what we’ve already received. Highly recommended, without reservations.
