In light of some recent issues, I am updating my rating. Within the first year of roof installation, they have had to come out four times for three different issues. First and second return visits were for buckling shingles; the first on the center of the back roof and second above the drip edge on the side roof. I was told both instances were temperature related. Not sure I agree as three of my neighbors have had roofs recently installed and I have not heard anything about their roofers coming out to do repairs. The third time was due to a leak around the chimney. Apparently, the chimney was never flashed! To top it off, the job foreman who came out to investigate, told me that they couldn't flash it due to the material it's made of. I then pointed out my neighbors' houses who all have the same type of chimney I have and theirs are flashed. Then he told me I needed a new chimney. They did apply some silicone to try to seal the leak. Which didn't work! Fourth visit: I texted the owner who was very receptive. He told me he would have his top guy out to do the flashing. It seems to have worked - so far. I thought flashing had to be installed under the shingles when they are installed - not sure how they did this. I don't get it as I have seen other work they have done, and they seem to have great ratings. My roof is a very easy one to do in addition to it only being a single story. I don't have a good feeling about the longevity of this roof.

1. I highly recommend DJK Roofing. 2. They met with us and clearly explained the roofing options/alternatives. Based on our choices, they provided a detailed quote. We opted to replace the existing 3/" plywood with 1/2". 3. They arrived exactly on time and completed the work in one day, even though they had to replace several rafters and brace several others. The rafter problem could not be detected until the old shingles and sheething were removed. The additional cost for the unplanned rafter work was very reasonable. 4. Their clean-up was excellent, including removal of nails that fell to the ground.
