Among produce products, it’s unlikely there are appreciable differences in taste between organic and nonorganic. You might find that some organic produce is fresher than nonorganic; on the other hand, you might also find that some organic produce spoils faster because it hasn’t been treated with pesticides, waxes, or preservatives. The less-than-perfect appearance of some organic produce may cause some consumers to prefer nonorganic. On the other hand, stores’ buyers might have higher standards when acquiring organic produce so it’s easier to justify higher price tags.

Among meat products and eggs, it is possible that organic tastes better to you than nonorganic because of the different diets organically raised animals are fed. But with meat production, there can be enormous differences in quality from animal to animal, regardless of how it was raised. And there won’t be any differences in taste between animals fed organic grain versus nonorganic grain.
