Not Recommended
Took an incredibly long time. Had to continuously remind them of my existence. Asked for lots of paperwork and never got back to me. It may have been that my refi was for too small an amount to be of interest. Will never know.

We refinanced our home (from an FHA loan into a conventional jumbo) via HomeFirst. We dealt with its president, Greg Kundinger. I cannot say enough good things about him. Greg was truly exceptional to deal with. I'm very detail oriented and get exasperated by anyone who doesn't respond promptly to my e-mails and answer every question I ask in complete sentences. There were days when I e-mailed back and forth with him 10 times--and he never once was anything but incredibly informative, prompt, and cheerful. We got a fantastic rate, and he was great about explaining the details on the GFE and HUD-1 and how all the numbers can change. He should write a book on it.

I ended up getting a decent rate, but not without hassle. Greg Kundinger, the President of Homefirst, met me before I applied, then tried to delegate all further contact to inexperienced employees who could never answer my questions and tried to have me sign forms that didn't apply. The closing company he recommended was equally bad, wasn't a notary, and tried to get me to sign forms that didn't apply.
