Highly recommended. Outstanding craftmanship! Cliff gave us very useful recommendations on the design intended to make us happy, not add costs. The result is even better than we'd dreamed. He assigned a single team to do the work, with a few additional persons from time to time. They showed up every day, on time, respected our property and us and left the work area neat every day. They were meticulous workers. Their craftmanship was outstanding and the deck is beautiful. Joints are tight. Every cut is clean and neat. I watched their progress every day, so I knew how carefully they were working. On walk-through, there wasn't a single thing left undone. They were be a bit more expensive than othes, but I strongly feel that the quality of the product was worth every penny.

Whitmer decks has declined considerablysince cliff sold out. After theyreplaced our rotting would deck with Trex they refused to replace rotting columns still the deck unless I paid an exorbitant amount. The work they did do was fine.The cost was very high. Hard to recommend but the work done was fine except for leaving several rotting boards and calling the job done.

Whitmer Decks is an exemplary business! Our designer, Danni, answered our first inquiry promptly and spent considerable time assessing our lot, Arlington County requirements, and creating a porch and deck that exceeded our dreams but not our budget! She gave us numerous options, explained the trade-offs, and helped us make informed decisions. She communicated with us weekly, esp about permitting issues. Once the work got under way, the crew was superb. They arrived on time, worked cleanly and efficiently, and demonstrated professionalism at every turn. It has now been 9 months since our project was completed, and I still can't get over the beauty and pleasure our new porch and deck give us!
