Karl and his team did a great job. Their communication was great and they set proper expectations (told us to expect 2 days but their team managed to get it all done on one day). His team also was very educational on how to improve my attic airflow and what additional items that I should consider getting someone else to look at.

We had the old insualtion in our attic removed in our more than 50-year-old home in Annandale. We replaced it about a month ago, boosting the insulation rating from something like R-9 (which is all the building code required back about 1965) to R-49 (today's much higher code requirement). The upstairs already feels cooler as the temps. are rising to 90 degrees in early June. Capital discussed various options and cost factors. We paid about $4,000, but could have saved $1,000 had we left the old insulation in place. They said we would get better energy efficiency if we removed the old insulation, so we went with the more expensive option. They did the job in about half a day and created no mess at all. We went with Capital becuase Checkbook had them at 84 positivies out of 84 ratings -- best score for a business with that many ratings I've ever seen on Checkbook!
